Disappointed

If you spend all your time working on basic swing applications driven by legacy technologies in your day to day business, or aspire to be involved in doing so, this book may be of some use to you. The topics covered in this book may have been advanced and useful long ago, but not today. The topic that bear relevance in modern code bases (IO, class loaders, security, etc.) lack the depth required to make them more useful than the docs provided for the JDK.

Bad Printing

What I saw of the book was good, but the copy I received had several duplicate pages and about 70 pages were missing. I hope this is not reflective of a bad press run.

Great book, but...

This is a great book. The coverage has everything that I need, the explanations are clear and concise, and the examples really drive home the ideas. I have learned a lot from this book, but noticed that I am missing exactly 50 pages of the book. I have all of Chapter 11, but Chapter 12 starts at section 12.10. Is it like this for anyone else?
