Not an enjoyable read

The text was helpful in that it provided proper information about attachment theory and research. However, the book was written in a very boring way, with sentences that weren't so easily understood. In addition, the layout was not particularly pleasing (very long paragraphs, squished-together text etc.).

You have to read this - "one of the most complete books I've read."

When I purchased the book, I was not sure what to expect but I thought I would at least give it a try based on the strength of those quotes. I was not disappointed at all. This book is full of great content from front to back. You will not be disappointed either.
I have come across many books where the author makes one great point and then spends the next 3 chapters explaining that one point. This is not the case with this one. This book is packed full of great stuff. I feel very confident when I say that: this is one of the most complete books I've read in the self help category. It does not focus on just one area, it will develop your whole person.

DB for Business will be worth it!

First of all, I would like to say that I made the wrong purchase. Haha. I was meaning to really find out about DB for Business, but silly me, I thought that is also for free version. Apparently, you have to pay for the feature. That's my mistake, but it's okay becauss with this book, I learned a lot.

The author outlined everything, from creating a shared folder to synching. It's like a manual, only better, because the explanations are so detailed.

I already love dropbox; as a teacher, my students and I can collaborate using this. For business, I can definitely tell you that DB Business is worth your bucks. I am really, really considering it.

Excellent book

Ever since I traded in my corner office for a desk in my spare bedroom I have found that collaboration is extremely difficult and costs a lot of money. My team and I tried various methods which we found to be unreliable and un-secure. Before reading this book I did not know of Dropbox, and now I can say I understand it. The writer does well at introducing it and mentioning its great features. I think this is the way to collaborate, online; all through a secure and reliable platform. I am who one would describe as “technologically challenged” and the writer has helped me understand how to use dropbox by not being too technical.

About the Author
Stephanie Arnold received her B.A. degree in English from Stanford University and then continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin where she received an M.F.A. degree in directing and a Ph.D. in dramatic literature and theory. Before joining the Lewis & Clark College faculty in 1986, she taught at Mills College and the University of California, Riverside.

Stephanie Arnold teaches acting, directing, and dramatic literature including a special topics course in Latino Theatre. The productions she has directed include works by classical and contemporary playwrights as well as musicals and opera. She is currently at work on the fifth edition of her textbook, The Creative Spirit: An Introduction to Theatre, which is published by McGraw-Hill and in use at colleges and universities around the country. She has recently returned from leading the Lewis & Clark College off campus study program to New York City.

Creative way to teach Theatre to Non Majors

The class I teach is called APPROACHING THE ARTS: THEATRE. The University also offers Introduction to Theatre. I use this book because it contains the complete text of six good plays. Plays are the cornerstone of theater. Ms. Arnold uses these plays to demonstrate how different theatre artists approach their art. For instance there is a chapter on the Playwright that uses August Wilson's play JOE TURNER HAS COME AND GONE to teach how a playwright approaches writing a play, and what inspires a playwright. She uses each play to teach a part of theatre: acting, design, etc. I highly recommend this book as a means to get non theater people interested in making theater a life long habit.

If you have to take it because it's required, don't worry, you'll enjoy the book. It was easy to read and understand as it was enjoyable.

Trucker's necessity

My son is a long haul trucker. He was complaining about the maps he was using and how they were falling apart. I ordered the Rand McNally's atlas online and gave it to him. He has done nothing but rave to me and to his buddy truckers how great this atlas is and how he uses it all the time. Fortunately, I gave him all the ordering information so he could pass it on to is trucking buddies. So orders should be up, Rand McNally!

Excellent for any motor carrier

I am a new OTR Driver and this has been great for me. Being laminated is also a great help. I can highlight my route for my trip and at the end of the trip just erase it and highlight the next one. It is easy to read and has a lot of very useful information in it for us new and old truck drivers (low bridge heights, miles between destinations, etc...).

Great book for beginners looking to learn about perspective

Great book for beginners looking to learn about perspective. As it says in the title this is a very, very easy to read/understand book for a subject that can at times become very complex. Each chapter comes with a few exercises that slowly walk you into more complex subject matters until ultimately you get the bigger picture. I would highly recommend this along with Andrew Loomis's Successful Drawing and would suggest readers re read the book multiple times until it becomes second nature.

A Must Read for Artists

This book has been around for generations and has been used and recommended by artists throughout that time. I found it very helpful. The principles of perspective have not changed, so the information is as accurate and applicable today as it was when the book was written.

200+ pages. Illustrations and diagrams are large when compared to the size of the pages. If I had my wish, the book would be a larger format... it is roughly 5.5 " x 8.5" which is an average paperback size, but for an art and instruction book I prefer a larger format.

This book is clear and easy to understand, great for the beginner and a nice refresher for those further along. I would consider it recommended reading for any artist. Lots of drawing books printed today have tiny sections on perspective, but I have found none as in-depth and informative as this book is. For a companion book, Figure Drawing For All It's Worth, by Andrew Loomis has a great section on drawing the human figure in perspective... and I would consider it another "must read" for artists. Great starting point for those looking to improve their drawing

This book is awesome, I think I have read over it about 3 times now since purchasing it, and to me it has helped improve my drawing and artwork. It's short, easy to read, and you can digest it quickly too. I liked reading a chapter or two, doing some drawings, thinking about things for a bit and then coming back to it.

I really like that the direction is based on things you can actually see and relate to in every day life. This makes it natural to read the book, and then as the author instructs think about you experience perspective every day. You see the horizon every time you look out the window, you see the places where lines converge in a room etc.

I got the paperback edition, for books like this I prefer having something I can hold as opposed to a digital copy (which I think is fine for books I just want to read for enjoyment).
